Preparing for the Move

The last couple of days have been pretty busy. Between getting ready for my move to Alaska and trying to squeeze in family time its been pretty crazy. About a week ago I took a short road trip with my brother to Springfield Oregon to check out the new Cabela's store. It was pretty cool, unfortunately the only thing that I bought was a few pairs of wool socks. I guess July is not the best month to go look for winter gear. On the way back we stopped at the Woodburn Outlets and I was able to find a large winter coat, snow pants and gloves. I ordered some goggles and my boots online. My goggles arrived yesterday and they are a perfect fit over my glasses (I was a little worried). My boots should be here anytime.
Shelly and I bought some things that I will be needing for my house when I arrive in Marshall. It was a pretty large list and I feel like I went a little over the top, but it will be necessary that I have all of my own stuff when Shelly and the boys move up and we are in private housing. I was able to get all of this into four Rubbermaid bins.

One more side note I received my Alaska Initial Teaching Certificate today. Pretty cool. I can't believe that I will be leaving in a little over two weeks. I still have a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it.
